What is Advanced Conversion Technology

Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT) is a Low Temperature "gasification" process that operates within an oxygen deprived environment subjecting waste to temperatures of approximately 500 degrees "C" up to 16 hours to enable and achieve 100% degradation of the waste to "white ash". The waste in the first phase or Primary Cell conversion (Wt-Gas) process produces SYN-Gas that is collected and transferred to the Thermal Reactor or Secondary Cell where it is fired at high temperatures of 1,200 plus degrees "C" for the production of Thermal Energy. High temperatures are transferred to a heat recovery boiler for the production of high temperature/high pressure steam which is used to drive a steam turbine for electrical generation and thermal energy distribution and utilization.

A Sustainable Solution – that’s World Leading Technology

This has been attested to in many credible independent and government reports.

  • It’s recognized as "Advanced Thermal Conversion Technology" by the UK Government power regulatory authority, the Department of OFGEM; which subsequently qualifies the technology to receive Renewable Obligations Certificates – the UK equivalent of carbon credits.
  • It’s the 3rd highest ranked of over 216 worldwide technologies investigated in the 2004 Phase 1 "Conversion Technology Evaluation Report" by URS Consultants for The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works. (a full report is available by contact to ENTECH)
  • It’s confirmed as technology that can successfully obtain a permit and operate within the stringent environmental regulatory criteria of the South Coast Air Quality Management District, State of California; per the 2007 Phase II "Conversion Technology Evaluation Report" by the Los Angeles County Solid Waste Management Committee / Task Force – compiled after visits to operating plants and independent review by a multi-expert committee. It is highlighted that there’s unlikely to be a cleaner more environmentally friendly alternative to waste, utilization and energy generation.

Up to 100% Total Resource Utilization of Waste

  • Maximize the diversion of waste entering landfills and composters by a minimum of 98% by weight.
  • Maximize the utilization with the small percentage of Inert Ash remaining for secondary markets as an aggregate for concrete and roadbed construction.
  • Maximize recycling of materials based on evaluation of waste characterization, market and energy.
  • Maximize the potential for reuse of recovered materials to the greatest extent feasible both economically and environmentally.
  • Maximize the potential for Clean Energy production from the conversion process of all materials not suitable for recycle or reuse.
  • Maximize the potential to utilize energy production in the form of Thermal and Electrical Energy (Renewable Energy).
  • Maximize the reduction of Carbon Equivalent footprint of current practices from our environment.
  • Maximize the implementation of Sustainability through effective waste management strategies and clean energy production.
  • 100% Pathogenic Destruction

The most "sustainable" waste solution on the planet!!
